Rye Brook Wine Spirit Shop Shipping Policy
The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order.
Title to the wine you order passes to you as soon as it leaves our doors; it is up to you to know the relevant laws in your state.
An adult signature with proof of age verification is required at time of delivery. Please be aware that someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. Because of this, we suggest you ship to a work address. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses.
Cancelation PolicyAll canceled orders are subject to a 15% cancelation/restocking fee.
Carrier and Delivery Times
We ship Ground, Next Day Air, and 2nd Day Air via FedEx:
- Ground Service - approximately 1-6 business days in transit
- 2nd Day Air - 2 business days in transit
- Next Day Air - 1 business day in transit
In calculating transit times, shipping companies do not count the day the item is picked up.
We do not ship on Fridays in order to avoid any potential storage issues with FedEx over the weekend. Unless you let us know that you would like your order shipped on Friday, we will hold it and ship on the following Monday.
Under normal circumstances, most orders will be processed the day following your online order. We can usually ship your order within 2 to 4 days (not including holidays and weekends) after it has been processed. Depending on your location, your order will be an additional 1-5 business days in transit. If there will be a delay longer than that, we will contact you immediately via email.
During times of extremely hot or cold weather, we recommend using 2nd Day or Next Day shipping to avoid having your order be exposed to the extremes of hot and cold for an extended period in transit. Please Note: We are not responsible for wine that arrives damaged due to heat or cold, so please plan accordingly when you choose your shipping option.

Local and Manhattan Delivery
We proudly offer free local delivery to customers in most neighboring towns and cities, as well as free delivery to Manhattan residents north of Midtown! See below for order minimums and restrictions. In addition, special consideration can be made for Corporate Orders, parties and events outside of our normal delivery area. Please select the "Free Local Delivery" option during checkout. A representative will contact you if for any reason we need to arrange for alternate delivery means. If we are not able to make a local delivery to your area, your order must be shipped via our common carrier, FedEx or picked up at the store.
An adult must be present to receive all local or Manhattan delivery orders; therefore, we will usually call ahead to arrange a delivery time.
Local Delivery: Local Delivery is free for orders of $125 (excluding sales tax) or more. The following cities and towns are part of our Local Delivery Area: Rye Brook, Port Chester, Rye, Harrison, Purchase, White Plains, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Eastchester, Bronxville. Deliveries are made in the afternoons (usually Monday - Thursday, between 1:00 - 4:00 PM). Orders placed after 10:00 AM on Thursday will be delivered the following week.
While it is our goal to deliver your order within two days of receiving it, at times we will need to delay delivery so that we can consolidate it with other deliveries in your area. If you require faster local delivery service, please call the store to inquire (914) 939-7511. Canceled orders are subject to a 10% cancelation fee.
Northern Westchester Delivery: We are pleased to offer free delivery to the following towns in northern Westchester with a minimum order of $200 (excluding sales tax) or more every Friday: Bedford, Armonk, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, Pleasantville. Deliveries are made on Friday afternoons (usually between 1:00 – 4:00 PM). In order to receive delivery the same week, your order must be submitted by noon on Thursday. Orders placed after noon on Thursday will be delivered the following Friday. Canceled orders are subject to a 10% cancelation fee.
Manhattan Delivery: For orders of $150 or more, we offer free delivery to Manhattan residential addresses north of 42nd Street and south of 125th Street on both the East and West sides. Manhattan deliveries are made in the evening on certain nights Monday - Thursday, usually between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (typically Tuesday and Thursday evenings). Our delivery vehicle us usually double-parked; therefore we can only deliver to buildings with a 24-hour doorman or package room attendant on the ground floor that can receive the delivery on your behalf. We are not able to deliver to businesses unless there is someone available at the main entrance on the ground floor to receive your delivery. Arrangements must be made with our staff in order to deliver to a business. Occasionally exceptions can be made. If your building does not comply with the terms set forth above and you still opt for Manhattan Delivery, your order is subject to a 15% cancelation fee.

Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card you will be informed and the order will not be processed until we hear from you. Canceled orders are subject to a 15% cancelation fee.
Shipping and Handling Costs
The shipping costs are automatically calculated at the time the order is placed. If you would like to know the shipping cost to a particular area please e-mail us your zip code and number of bottles. Prices of our wines do not include shipping/handling charges, which vary depending on destination, number of bottles ordered and choice of delivery options. Our shipping containers hold 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 bottles of wine. We recommend you keep this in mind when ordering as an odd number (7, for instance) will be shipped in the bigger box, therefore increasing the weight and shipping charges.
Gift wrapping of individual bottles is complimentary at your request.
The buyer assumes title of the wines once purchased. By arranging for transportation of the wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to him or her.
